• These nails were excavated from a spoil heap at a Roman Fortress in Caerleon, Wales (74 AD to late 3rd century AD), under the direction of Dr. Peter Guest. The request was to ‘clean for identification’; the nails are very typical Roman-British nails with square heads and shafts.

• This Edwardian penny is from the Brecknock Museum and Art Gallery in Brecon, Wales, a local history museum. Struck in 1907, the obverse features the head of Edward VII and the reverse a seated Britannia. The museum requested that the coin be cleaned of adhesive and textile fibres remaining from its installation in a previous exhibit.
